We begin with pranayama, inviting clarity and calmness into your mind while visualizing the sun’s energy filling you with positivity and purpose. Each practice culminates in a serene meditation, where you can set intentions that shine brightly throughout your day.  Join us in our morning Hatha yoga sessions and cultivate a vibrant, balanced lifestyle infused with the life-giving energy of the sun.

Dharani Selvakumar

My journey with yoga began in 2015, initially sparked by a desire for physical fitness. Little did I know, it would evolve into a heartfelt transformation, touching every aspect of my life.

I discovered a profound passion for Hatha yoga. After years of dedicated practice and exploration, completing 200 hours TTC marked a significant milestone in my yoga journey. Since then, I've been teaching with joy and enthusiasm, eager to share the gifts of yoga with others.

My classes emphasise not only physical postures but also breath awareness, meditation, relaxation, and self-reflection inviting students to explore their inner landscape and cultivate a sense of balance and harmony in their lives.

My mission is to create a welcoming space where students of all levels can explore and grow, both on and off the mat. Whether they seek strength, flexibility, or simply a moment of stillness, I'm excited to support and guide them on their journey to holistic well-being at SHALA! 

INTRODUCTION ASHTANGA PROGRAM

IMMERSIVE 1 MONTH REGISTERED COURSE

This program will provide you the confidence to turn your attention inwards, start to focus on the internal aspects of yoga as well safely guide you through the physical discipline while respecting your unique body, mind and experience. 

​

 

This programs is a 12 class Immersive Ashtanga Program over a month to begin or reestablish your commitment to your yoga practice.

This program is an ideal way to start your Ashtanga Yoga practice. You will learn the foundations and sequence of this transformative and healing method. All levels welcome, from complete beginners to other yoga methods or those reentering their ashtanga practice.

How the Ashtanga yoga sequence works and how it is designed to be practiced

Important aspects of the Ashtanga practice; breath, gazing point, vinyasa, bandhas

foundational asanas up to half primary series (based on individual experience)
